The Sports Society at Cedar College comprises of vibrant students who are willing to utilize this platform as an ideal opportunity to work on their strengths and weaknesses. As for those students who aren’t athletic; Cedar’s inter-school tournaments and competitions give these students the opportunity to cheer on their peers!  Cedar’s student body is organized within four houses: Tristan, Galahad, Lancelot, and Lamarck. These houses hold inter-school competitions and matches for students to play a variety of new sports they have never had a chance to explore previously and encourage their house-mates to attend matches and support their teams.   Since Cedar believes in delegating authority to students, 8 House captains along with President of Sport society work hand in hand to arrange and organise all in house tournaments.

The Sports Society offers students to join various teams, including: basketball, football, futsal, cricket, volley ball, a dive team, and more! Cedar has also introduced Kick Boxing & Fitness class for students so they can work on their fitness and learning self-defence techniques.  The Cedar Sports Fest 2016 was one of the biggest events held at school this year. Students from all four cedar houses registered for sport events. In fact, the tournament’s announcement lured in over 400 participants!  The Cedar Sports Fest brought together teams from all four houses to participate in matches for Football, Table Tennis, Foosball, Cricket, Throw Ball, Basketball, E Sports – FIFA, Chess, and rowing. Some of these teams were segregated, while others encouraged boys and girls to play together. The high levels of energy at every match give each student is given a sense of belonging and unity.

Cedar’s most prominent and active sports outfit is the Football team. With a total of 32 boys divided into Team A and B, Cedar College’s Football has been a source of great pride and celebration from the first day.

Ever since its inception in 2015, Cedar’s rowing team has shown massive potential in the sport at the annual Karachi Boat Club Regatta. With lots of memories, success, and victories under our belt, Cedar students managed to bag 4 Gold, 3 Silver and 7 Bronze medals in the first year, and much recently, they secured 15 Gold medals, 3 Silver medals, and the Presidents Cup Trophy at the annual KBC Interschool Regatta 2017. What’s even more impressive is that the competition’s best male and female rowers were selected from Cedar!
