Umer Hassan joined the Faculty of Mathematics at Cedar College in 2015. He has previously worked at GlaxoSmithKline Pakistan Limited as Assistant Manager Operational Excellence before joining Cedar College. He also worked with Lotte Chemicals Pakistan Limited as a Trainee Mechanical Engineer. He uses his knowledge of the practical applications of mathematics to impress upon students the more complex aspects of A Level Mathematics.
Umer received his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIKI) in 2014. His final year project was based on extensive testing of internal combustion engine running on biofuels. His research paper on this subject was accepted and presented at the 15th International Multidisciplinary Scientific GeoConference SGEM Conference 2014 in Bulgaria.
He is extremely passionate about auto detailing and has a special love for custom built cars and luxury mechanical wrist watches. When he’s not watching car reviews on YouTube, he can be found at the gym.
