The 3rd Annual Cedar College Debating Championship was held from the 14th to the 16th September 2018. Schools from all over Sindh took part in this event, which was hosted in collaboration with the Debating Society of Pakistan, who were tabulating the results for the event for the selection of the Pakistan National Debate Team.
The Chief Adjudicators for this event were Mr. Nabeel Ahmed, and our very own Mr. Humza Nadeem Jami. In a hotly contested final, Karachi Grammar School B defeated Nixor College B on a 3-2 split in the final to win the tournament.
The Cedar Union, our debate team, also competed at the event, where our very own Drakhshandae Badar was ranked as the Second Best Speaker of the tournament. Both Cedar teams reached the semi-finals, where they were knocked out on 2-1 splits each to the eventual finalists. Aside from this, 4/6 Cedar Speakers were ranked in the Top 20 Speakers of the tournament.
