Hussham Arshad
Department of Biology

Hussham Arshad teaches Biology at Cedar College, and he is currently teaching Biology and Chemistry at The Lyceum School.

Hussham completed his Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.,B.S.) from the Aga Khan University of Health Sciences (AKUH) in the year 2009. He was offered the meritorious AKUH’s Dean Scholarship, Begum Shafeeq Zia ul Haq Scholarship and Shaukat Haroon Scholarship for being in the top 15% of his class at AKUH. As a fresh graduate, he was inducted by the Interactive Research & Development (IRD) group as a Research Associate to engage in multiple-cohort and cross-sectional projects in collaboration with Harvard School of Public Health, Massachusetts General Hospital, and John Hopkins — Bloomberg School of Public Health and UT Houston School of Public Health.

Hussham is certified by the ECFMG (Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates) as an MD having cleared the United States Medical Licensing Examinations (USMLEs).

He has a particular interest in Cardiovascular Research and envisions integrating research into academics from a pre-university level, which he feels is an essential tool for the development of future scientists, doctors and leaders.

In his free time Hussham likes to read, write and travel.
