Cedar College, as per its tradition, partnered with Indus Hospital and hosted a blood drive on 5 December 2017 for the students on campus. The Indus Hospital Blood Center shoulders the responsibility of maintaining blood inventories in hospitals – ensuring availability “in-time”. They have been functional for about 4 years, promoting voluntary blood donation throughout Karachi. During this period, they have set up multiple blood donation camps in major schools and colleges.
During this drive, around 200 hundred students, admin and faculty members donated blood to support the cause. All the voluntary blood donors got a mini medical check-up, the reports of 9 blood tests free of cost which included Hepatitis B (2 tests), Hepatitis C, HIV (2 tests), Syphilis, Malaria, Blood Group. Every donor received a report along with an appreciation certificate.
